Tezos Economy Recap for September: Any Place to Hide from Bears?

So, here’s how the economics of Tezos changed in September.

Liquidity Baking and Youves Are on Top

The overall volume of locked funds in the Youves protocol reached $29 million, up 28% from August. The TVL of flat-curve pools nearly quadrupled, while the price of the YOU token tripled, from $0.51 to $1.73 (CoinGecko).

September also saw the increase in TVL of Sirius DEX (liquidity baking) and Kord.fi (lending protocol allowing the use of leverage there).

Use volumes of NFT marketplaces were predictably lower than in August. The increase in volumes on the betting protocol Juster.fi by more than 70 times was, however, beyond any expectations. Judging from the history of transactions, someone is playing big and betting several times a day.

Baking: active stake is 694 million XTZ (+0.7%) with total value of $967 million.
