How to Launch Your Own Collection on ArtDEX by SalsaDAO

Trading on ArtDEX is getting more active: SalsaDAO's total volume reached 5,000 tez on 3 January, and users traded 8,000 tez in just one day on 17 January. The increase in volume is most likely due to the launch of the Salsa Shepardz collection.

We wondered how to launch our own collection on ArtDEX because there was no Mint button there, unlike our usual marketplaces. We figured it out and wrote a brief guide, so here it is.

How to Create Pools for Tokens Traded at ArtDEX?

First, select one of the existing collections on hic et nunc, OBJKT, or Versum, or specify its smart contract’s address. The collection must include at least one token.

Then hit the purple button with “Create pool” written on it, specify the parameters, and add an NFT or tez from your wallet.

How to Create a Pool for NFTs You Released in Several Editions?

If you want to add a pool with your own collection that is not yet available at ArtDEX, you need to do as follows. First, go to the Search tab, select KT1, and input the collection’s address.

Click the collection, go to All Items, and select the token you have in mind.

Create your pool as usual.

ArtDEX will add the operations required to create a pool to the basket automatically. Then open the cart and confirm the pool’s creation.

Now you can see the pool in the search and the My Stuff tab.

How to Create a Pool for all NFTs From the Same Collection?

Every token must have its own pool in our collection because each of them is minted with 5 editions. To create a common pool for a collection, all tokens in it must be minted with only one edition (1/1).

For example, we have created a separate collection called Tezos Ukraine Covers Singles on OBJKT and minted two tokens with 1 edition. When we make a pool, we can select all NFTs we want to add to the collection.

After specifying the spot price, setting the delta, and selecting the tokens to be deposited in the pool, you must click Estimate and confirm the creation. Then go to the basket and verify all transactions.

Now the pool has our different tokens at the same price.

Conclusion

If you plan to launch your collection on ArtDEX and sell all tokens in the same pool, be sure to release only one of them. If you issue two or more, you will have to create a separate pool for each token, which is inconvenient for you and the collectors.
